6am BJJ classes are being added to the Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts timetable. From Monday 18th July we are adding BJJ (Gi) classes Monday and Wednesday 6am to 7am. It is open to all levels. Introductory students are most welcome to join. The 6am BJJ classes will be run by BJJ Black Belt Hayden Mckay and BJJ Brown Belt Mason Elias.

Team Perosh OG has moved to the Gold Coast. Steven Micallef has been with Team Perosh since 2002. He is a 2nd Degree BJJ Black Belt, Muay Thai Kickboxing Black T-Shirt and has had 10 pro MMA fights. He is a coach in all disciplines, is a great team mate and great friend. We gave him a 45-minute BJJ shark tank as a going away present! We miss you already. We all wish you the very best. Farewell to a coaching staff

Team Perosh said farewell to student and coach Phil Kim as he had his last day of coaching at Team Perosh last week. He has decided to go back to work wearing a different uniform at a bank! Phil will continue his training at Team Perosh so you will still get to see him around all the time. Phil was coaching at Team Perosh almost 3 years. We miss him already and wish him all the best in his new career.

Team Perosh had 5 coaches renew their National BJJ Coaching Accreditation through the AJF (Australian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) last weekend including head coach Anthony Perosh. Joining Anthony was Victor Fox, Blake Kessler, Frances Bavaro and Jerryn Biles. It was a great two days refreshing up on old skills, learning new skills and networking with some good people duri g the BJJ Coaching course.

Today is the 15 year anniversary on when I made my MMA debut at Spartan 8 on the Gold Coast.

I entered an 8 man tournament and won all 3 matches by submission to win the tournament. All the other 7 competitors were experienced and some of them had undefeated records. The video had my walk out song Kickstart My Heart playing but Facebook blocked it!

About 6 months earlier I received my BJJ Black Belt. I had decided to stop my BJJ competition and start competing in MMA. My MMA career lasted 12 years, 25 fights, 15 wins and 5 of my wins in the UFC.

My goal now is to coach and help my students achieve their goals. And I want them all to do much better than me!
