Team Perosh had a great day performing a BJJ demo on stage and had a stall at the City of Canada Bay Ferragosto festival in Five Dock on Sunday 19th August. We met lots of people including NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and NSW Member for Drummoyne John Sidoti. Thank you to everyone that helped out.

Team Perosh have 7 new Australian BJJ Champions! Our team of 15 competitors won 9 gold, 10 silver and 4 bronze medals at the Australian BJJ Championships in Melbourne on Saturday 11th August.
New Australian Champions and gold medals were won by Head Coach Anthony Perosh (Double), Frances Bavaro (Double), Michael De Marco, Rebecca Beuk, Julian Tsitsos, Daniel Qaquor and Kobe Harb.
Silver medals were won by Frances Bavaro (Double), Rebecca Beuk, James Zai, Guy Vaccaro, Julian Tsitsos, Axyl Howie, Aryan Singh, Dante Barbanera and Isaac Herodotou.
Two long time Team Perosh BJJ students are moving. Logan Muir is moving to New Zealand and Anthony Banicevic is moving to Canberra. We hope you leave with some good memories including the 45 minute shark tank we put you through last night! We miss you already. Stay in touch and come visit when you can.
Head Coach Anthony Perosh from Team Perosh Martial Arts did some cross training with the Under 16 Girls UTS Balmain Water Polo Club last weekend.
Waterpolo techniques under water involve a lot of grappling! The training session included BJJ and Wrestling techniques that they can apply in their game.
The team are favourites heading in to the National Club Championships to be held in October. Good luck!
Congrats to Team Perosh for coming second overall in Best Academy in the Aus Sub Only comp last weekend.
We won 15 gold and 8 silver medals! Gold medals were won by Mason Elias, John Kim (Double), Kosta Panayi, Damian Iacono, Aryan Singh (Double), Natasha Iacono (Double), Axyl Howie (Double), Sam Cassaniti (Double) and Isaac Herodotou (Double). Silver medals were won by Nathan Maitre (Double), Rory Hopkins, Damian Iacono, Jake Lapi (Double) and Dante Barbanera (Double).

Team Perosh affiliate school Pure Jiu Jitsu Southern Highlands had their first birthday this week. Big congrats to head coach Tony Pycroft, his students and his academy on this milestone. I was invited to teach a BJJ seminar on the day. Thank you to Tony for the invite and to everyone for their hospitality. Looking forward to their next year and beyond.
