On Sunday 19th May Team Perosh had the In-House Competition – Worlds BJJ Comp Team Fundraiser. It was a great event that had 48 Team Perosh and Affiliate competitors, which included 2 Superfights and the Worlds Gauntlet.

A massive Thank you to all the competitors who entered, the volunteers, the athletes’ sponsors: Knockout Nutrition Five Dock, Precision Athletica, Michael Acolentaba, and Box Fresh. Also, Thank you to Anthony Perosh and Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts.

The raffle will be drawn on Friday 24th May at 7:30PM.

Finally, Congratulations to all the competitors, including Katarina Roso (Double Gold), Jacen Hugget (Double Gold), Steven Truong (Double Gold), Meer Awny, Sean Mckay (Double Gold), Tom Elson, Angus Blackwell, Maciej Rybinski, Desmond Phillips, Lucia Lu, Ruben Darchinyan, Roman Fotheringham (Double Gold), Brigitte Massih, Axyle Howie (Double Gold), Alisha Sali, and Dante Barbarnara.

Team Perosh had 4 students compete in the ACT State BJJ Championships and they won 3 gold and 1 silver medal. Gold to Guy Vaccaro, Kobe Harb, Dante Barbanera and silver to Aryan Singh. RCJ came 3rd in the Kids team division. Well done to everyone that competed.

I taught affiliate BJJ gradings and seminars at Team Perosh affiliate academy Kemp’s Thai Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts and then Dubbo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on 17th & 18th May. Team Perosh won Best Academy and RCJ Machado came first in the teams trophy at the Aus Sub Only BJJ Comp on Sunday 12th May!

Team Perosh BJJ team had 12 students win 14 gold and 4 silver medals.

Gold to Julian Tsitsos, (Double), Kosta Panayi (Double), Aryan Singh (Double), Axyl Howie (Double), Isaac Herodotou (Double), Sam Cassaniti, Dante Barbanera, Natasha Iacono and Damian Iacono. Silver to Natasha Iacono, Dante Barbanera, Sam Cassaniti and Ruben Darchinyan.

Well done to everyone who competed in helping us become 2nd Best Academy and Best Team!.

My BJJ coach Carlos Machado taught a BJJ seminar to adults and then kids at Team Perosh last weekend. Carlos is an 8th Degree Coral Belt and lives and teaches in Dallas, Texas. At the BJJ seminar he taught his favourite and best techniques to over 55 adults and 15 kids.
 
There were at least 5 Team Perosh affiliate academies and 5 coaches from Non-Machado BJJ academies along with all the Team Perosh students represented at the BJJ seminar. Carlos Machado’s reach and legacy crosses many borders!

World BJJ Championships, Singapore Open & a State Championship! Team Perosh students competed in 3 countries last week!

Team Perosh had 1 adult and 3 kids compete at the Abu Dhabi World Championship in April in Abu Dhabi. Michael De Marco had 1 win and 1 loss reaching the quarter finals and lost to the guy who came second. Kobe Harb had 7 in his division and had 2 wins 1 loss for a silver medal. Aryan Singh had 10 in his division and lost his first match. Axyl had 37 in his division and won 2 and lost 1. Axyl ending up losing to the eventual gold medallist. Well done to everyone that competed!

Team Perosh student and coach Nobby Kuandyk won a bronze medal and student Axyl Howie won a gold medal at the ADCC Singapore Open on 27th April. Well done Nobby and Axyl!

Team Perosh student Guy Vaccaro won a gold medal at the South Australian State BJJ Championship on 28th April. Well done Guy!
