Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts students competed in amateur Muay Thai Kickboxing last weekend at the MTA-NSW Amateur Series 3 event. Sunny, Toby & Nicholas lost their matches by decision. And they all won the first round! They are all motivated to get back in there. I am proud of all of them. Thank you to Peter for helping corner on the day and helping them prepare. Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts had 4 students compete at the WAKO Light Kick competition on 24th July. It’s a novice Kickboxing competition where students learn how to compete in Kickboxing matches. The team had a 50/50 win/loss record but the main thing is learning and experience. Thank you to the coaches Joey, Julian, Cooba & Rory for helping them out and for everyone who came to support. These events will every 6-8 weeks. Let us know if you want to compete at the next WAKO.

The March grading had 300 students’ grade last week in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing for both adults and kids.

Here are the highlights.

  • 220 adults and 80 Kids graded
  • 1 BJJ Brown Belt, 5 BJJ Purple Belts and 12 BJJ Blue Belts were awarded
  • 3 Red T-Shirts were awarded in Muay Thai Kickboxing
  • 65 BJJ Kids and 15 Thai Kick Boxing Kids graded to the next rank

Extra special congrats to Michael Lai on receiving his BJJ Brown Belt. And our teenagers this grading showed great skill. Three teenagers graded to BJJ Blue Belt (Dylan, Muhammed and Kosta) and 3 teenagers graded to Red T-Shirt (Dylan, Isaac and Alessio).
