UFC 2013 Fun Fact: Shortest fight of the year
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year. Time to get back to training. My two gyms opened up for 2014 on Monday 6th January with the full timetable. It was great to be back and see so many students on day one.

UFC Fight Night 33 Results Brisbane 7th December 2013
I lost my match by decision at UFC Fight Night 33 in Brisbane. Congratulations to my opponent Ryan Bader. He was my toughest opponent to date and he proved it on the night. It is now time for me to heal up, rest and then go back to training. Back to the drawing board as they say.I just have a few stitches and bruising so it will be all healed up in 10 days.

Shaher Khan wins gold medal at Australian Pro BJJ Trials
SPMA student Shaher Khan won a gold medal and trip to Abu Dhabi for the World Pro BJJ Championships in 2014. He entered the brown belt above 82kg division and won both of his matches winning the gold medal and all expenses paid trip to Abu Dhabi for the World Pro Gi Championships in 2014.

I am fighting Ryan Bader in Brisbane, Australia at UFC Fight Night 33 on 7th December. Ryan is a tough fighter and has been a top 10 fighter in the UFC for years.
