Team Perosh had a team of 17 compete at the BJJ Winter Cup last weekend. We won 8 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze medal!

Mark, Katarina, Kobe, Aryan, Axyl, Dante, Isaac and Lewis won gold. Mark, Ruben, Natasha, Joseph and Elyse won silver. Johnny won bronze.

RCJ Machado won 3rd place in the Kids Team trophy.

We had a lot of students compete for the first time. Extra congrats to you!

Well done to everyone who competed and thank you to everyone who came to support at the BJJ Winter Cup.

I won two silver at the World BJJ Masters in Las Vegas. I had 2 wins 1 loss in my weight division and 2 wins 1 loss in the open. I did my best. I have no excuses they were just better than me on the day. I will get back on the mat and improve my game to achieve double gold next time.

Well done to Team Perosh student Tony Pycroft on 1 win and 1 loss in the Master 3 Black Belt division. It was his first Worlds. He only lost by one advantage. A big thank you to Tony for being in my corner all 6 matches too!

I want to thank everyone from Team Perosh for the support for me at the World Masters BJJ. You were far away in distance but very close to my heart. And just on the other side of the camera watching! Thank you to Fran for organising the live video at the academy. And thank you to my wife Ana for her undying support.

10 New Australian BJJ Champions!

Team Perosh have 10 New Australian BJJ Champions! We had 13 students compete in the Australian Federation of Brasilian Jiu Jitsu National Championships last weekend in Melbourne and 10 of them won gold and are now Australian Champion! They include 5 juniors, 2 teenagers, 2 adults and 1 Master! What an amazing performance!

New Australian Champions are Anthony Perosh (Double), Michael De Marco (Double), Guy Vaccaro, Kosta Panayi, Natasha Iacono, Damian Iacono, Kobe Harb, Ruben Darchinyan, Sam Cassaniti and Dante Barbenera! Silver medals were won by Aryan Singh, Jake Lapi and Axl Howie.

Well done to everyone that competed! I will collect and post more photos soon. Thank you to all the team mates, friends and family they came down to support.

I am very proud of everyone.

8 students win 8 gold at Aus Sub Only BJJ comp

Team Perosh BJJ team had 8 students win 8 gold last weekend at the Aus Sub Only BJJ comp last Sunday.

The adults Michael Ali, Ali Beydoun and Ibrahim all won gold. Michael Ali also won a bronze. The kids all won two medals. Double gold to Aryan Singh, Axyl Howie, Isaac Herodotou and Dante Barbanera. Gold and Silver to Jake Lapi.

Team Perosh came 4th in Best Academy with only 8 students and RCJ Machado came first in Best Team!

Well done to everyone who competed!

I held a grading and seminar for Kids BJJ and a seminar for Adults BJJ at Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts affiliate academy Newcastle Karate last Sunday 28th July in Newcastle. It was the first time I went up there for grading and seminar. Big congrats to everyone who graded and thank you to everyone who attend my BJJ seminar. Well done to coaches Marc Matthews, Jesse Landry, Marc Whitehead and Cameron McGregor for getting everyone ready for the grading. I am looking forward to the next one already!

Team Perosh BJJ team competed last weekend in 2 competitons in 2 states. Axyl Howie won double gold at the Aus Sub Only on the Gold Coast. Frances Bavaro had 2 wins and Emma Hunt had 2 wins at the Australian Girls in Gi BJJ competition in Sydney. Well done to everyone that competed!

Central Coast BJJ Open Team Perosh bring the gold

Team Perosh Kids BJJ Team had 3 kids compete at the Central Coast BJJ Open last weekend. They won 3 gold and 2 bronze medals. Gold and Bronze to Damian Iacono, Gold to Natasha Iacono and Gold and Bronze to Axyl Howie.

Team Perosh affiliates Heidi and Jack Bowie from Pure Jiu Jitsu Southern Highlands, Samuel Craig from Elite Martial arts Australia, William Bunn, Max Scalise and Seb Scalise from Movement Martial Arts all won gold too at the Central Coast BJJ Open!

Make up grading for BJJ & Thai Kickboxing

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts had a make up grading for students who missed out grading in the June grading. We had adults and kids both grade in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. The adults also completed the 300 Burpees exercise which has become a tradition of the make up grading. Well done to everyone who graded!

Team Perosh had 5 coaches renew their National BJJ Coaching Accreditation through the AJF (Australian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) last weekend including head coach Anthony Perosh. Joining Anthony was Victor Fox, Blake Kessler, Frances Bavaro and Jerryn Biles. It was a great two days refreshing up on old skills, learning new skills and networking with some good people duri g the BJJ Coaching course.
