Our BJJ team won 7 gold and 7 silver medals at the Sydney BJJ Cup in Sydney on 10th March. Gold to Guy Vaccaro, Robbie Macaffer, Katarina Roso, Kosta Panayi, Kobe Harb, Axyl Howie and Dante Barbanera. Silver to Steve Kim, Daniel Qaquor, Damian Iacono, Aryan Singh, Natasha Iacono, Jayda Lafleur and Isaac Herodotou. Congrfats to everyone that competed!

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts BJJ comp team had 20 students win 9 Gold, 7 silver and 7 Bronze medals at last weekends Grappling Industries BJJ comp in Sydney. Team Perosh also won Best Academy and won a big oversized medal! And RCJ Machado won Best Affiliation!

Sam Senan, Mason Elias, John Kim, Axyl Howie (Double), Dante Barbanera (Double), Aryan Singh and Roman Fotheringham won gold, Kob Harb (Double), Isaac Herodotou (Double), Aryan Singh, Brigette MAssih and Alexei Fotheringham won silver, Sam Senan, Daniel Diaz, Wayne Fotheringham, Brendan Brittain, John Kim and Lewis Massih (Double) won bronze.

Kids BJJ competition team dominates!

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts Kids BJJ competition team had 9 students win 10 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals at the Aus Sub Only competition in West Sydney on 9th December.

Gold medals were won by Kosta Panayi, Yusuf Kumsuz, Aryan Singh, Natasha Iacono, Axyl Howie, Sam Cassaniti (Double), Dante Barbanera (Double), Isaac Herodotou. Silver were won by Suleyman Kumsuz, Aryan Singh, Natasha Iacono and Axyl Howie. Bronze medals were won by Kosta Panayi and Isaac Herodotou.

End of year gradings Team Perosh 2018 1

Team Perosh End of year gradings

The Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts end of year BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) and Muay Thai Kickboxing gradings for adults and kids was a big hit! About 275 students participated in the gradings with most of them grading to the next level.

In adults BJJ there were 4 new Black Belts, 1 Brown Belt, 1 Purple Belt and 8 Blue Belts awarded. Extra special congratulations to new BJJ black belts Ers Kumsuz, Dany Raad, Matthew Hunt and Phillip Ferraro. The students who did not receive a new belt all graded for their next stripe.

In adults Muay Thai Kickboxing 2 new Black T-shirts, 1 Purple T-Shirt and 1 Blue T-Shirt awarded. Extra Special Congratulations to new Muay Thai Kickboxing Black T-Shirts Philip Kim and Nobby Kuandyk. Plus a lot of yellow, orange and red t-shirts were awarded.

We had 4 classes of about 25 kids grade in BJJ and Muay Thai Kickboxing ranging in ages from 5 to 15. We had kids grading from Grey-White Belt to Orange Belt in BJJ and from Yellow to Red T-Shirt in Thai Kickboxing.

Congratulations to everyone that graded!

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts had 23 students win 11 gold, 11 silver and 1 bronze medals at the NSW BJJ Federation Summer Cup in Sydney on 25th November!
 
Gold medals were won by to Michael De Marco, James Zai, Julian Tsitsos (Double), Kosta Panayi, Jake Herrera, Damian Iacono, Kobe Harb, Aryan Singh, Natasha Iacono and Axyl Howie. Silver medals were won by Michael De Marco, Guy Vaccaro, James Zai, Julian Tsitsos (Double), Darren Chism, Campbell Lahoud, Dante Barbanera, Brigitte Massih, Lewis Massih and Angelina Pan. Bronze medals were won by Olivia Hu.
 
Team Perosh is part of Team Will-Machado and Will-Machado won the 2nd place trophy in the Kids Team Category and 3rd in the Adults and Masters Nogi category.

Congrats to Team Perosh students who competed in the Australian Girls in Gi. Only gold medals are awarded. Gold went to Natasha Iacono (Double), Jayda La Fleur (Double), Emma Hunt and Brigette Massih. Team Perosh at Five Dock hosted the event. Well done to everyone that competed!

Amazing results at the 2018 IBJJF Pan Pacific BJJ Championships

Team Perosh’s 14 students won 6 gold, 5 silver and 6 Bronze medals at the IBJJF Pan Pacific BJJ Championships in Melbourne last weekend. The Pan Pacs was a 3 day event and is the most prestigious BJJ competition in Australia for the year.

Gold medals were won by Tony Pycroft, Michael De Marco, Julian Tsitsos, Axyl Howie, Aryan Singh and Sam Cassaniti. Silver medals were won by Michael De Marco, Rebecca Beuk, Michael Ali, Natasha Iacono and Kobe Harb. Bronze medals were won by Tony Pycroft, Frances Bavaro (Triple), Damian Iacono and Jayda La Fleur.

Well done to everyone that competed. It was a great weekend!
