Team Perosh BJJ team competed last weekend in 2 competitons in 2 states. Axyl Howie won double gold at the Aus Sub Only on the Gold Coast. Frances Bavaro had 2 wins and Emma Hunt had 2 wins at the Australian Girls in Gi BJJ competition in Sydney. Well done to everyone that competed!
Team Perosh Kids BJJ Team had 3 kids compete at the Central Coast BJJ Open last weekend. They won 3 gold and 2 bronze medals. Gold and Bronze to Damian Iacono, Gold to Natasha Iacono and Gold and Bronze to Axyl Howie.
Team Perosh affiliates Heidi and Jack Bowie from Pure Jiu Jitsu Southern Highlands, Samuel Craig from Elite Martial arts Australia, William Bunn, Max Scalise and Seb Scalise from Movement Martial Arts all won gold too at the Central Coast BJJ Open!

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts had a make up grading for students who missed out grading in the June grading. We had adults and kids both grade in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. The adults also completed the 300 Burpees exercise which has become a tradition of the make up grading. Well done to everyone who graded!

Team Perosh had 1 adult, 1 teenager and 6 kids win 10 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals last wekend at Grappling Industries. All 8 students competed in gi and no gi and all 8 medalled in both gi and no gi. They did so well that team Perosh won Best Academy for the second Grappling Industries in a row in Sydney. Double gold to Joel Gaal, Damian Iacono, Isaac Herodotou and Dante Barbanera, Gold and silver to Axyl Howie, Gold and bronze to Stef Boitano, Double silver to Lewis Massih and Double bronze to Brigitte Massih. We had 45 competitors from 6 different Team Perosh academies including Five Dock HQ (26), Pure Jiu-Jitsu (10), RMA & Total Fitness (4), Movement Martial Arts (3), Elite (1) and Macq uni (1).

I attended affiliate BJJ gradings of Macquarie University Sport & Aquatic Centre at Macquarie Park last Wednesday night and Elite Martial Arts Australia at Minchinbury last Thursday night. The adults graded in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing and kids in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Big congrats to everyone who graded. Well done to head coach Victor Fox at Macquarie and Ethan Zahra at Elite on getting everyone ready for their grading.

On Sunday 19th May Team Perosh had the In-House Competition – Worlds BJJ Comp Team Fundraiser. It was a great event that had 48 Team Perosh and Affiliate competitors, which included 2 Superfights and the Worlds Gauntlet.
A massive Thank you to all the competitors who entered, the volunteers, the athletes’ sponsors: Knockout Nutrition Five Dock, Precision Athletica, Michael Acolentaba, and Box Fresh. Also, Thank you to Anthony Perosh and Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts.
