Team Perosh student and coach Nobby Kuandyk won his mma match in the second round last weekend at Eternal MMA 42 on the Gold Coast. He put in a great performance of strikes, takedowns and groundwork to win by RNC in the second round. Thank you to Phil Kim and Andrew Khare for helping corner. And we have 2 new Superfight MMA Champions! Team Perosh went 2 wins 1 loss at the Superfight MMA 10 show last weekend in Sydney. Andrew Mills won the Professional Welterweight Title by unanimous decision. Nelson Mayan won the Amateur Welterweight Title by TKO in the second round. Joey Belfiore lost his match by split decision. Congrats to all 3 students who all put in great performances. Thank you to all the family, friends and students of Team Perosh that came to support.

One Warrior Series is an opportunity for fighters to fight for a chance to win a One FC contract. The Sydney tryouts was run by former UFC Middleweight Champion Rich Franklin. Big Congrats Phil! Anthony Perosh MMA debut highlights of 3 matches

Today is the 15 year anniversary on when I made my MMA debut at Spartan 8 on the Gold Coast.

I entered an 8 man tournament and won all 3 matches by submission to win the tournament. All the other 7 competitors were experienced and some of them had undefeated records. The video had my walk out song Kickstart My Heart playing but Facebook blocked it!

About 6 months earlier I received my BJJ Black Belt. I had decided to stop my BJJ competition and start competing in MMA. My MMA career lasted 12 years, 25 fights, 15 wins and 5 of my wins in the UFC.

My goal now is to coach and help my students achieve their goals. And I want them all to do much better than me!

Two mma wins from two this weekend. Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts fighter Joey Belfiore won his mma match last night by submission in the first round at West Region Fight Night 5 in Lithgow.

It was a short match but had a lot of action. Joey finished the match with a guilllotine choke.

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts fighter Andrew Mills won his mma match last night by unanimous decision at XFC 37 in Brisbane.

He dominated every round with great Muay Thai Kickboxing, Wrestling and BJJ. A great performance.

Grand Opening 18 years in the making!

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts is having their Grand Opening 17th and 18th November. We are celebrating moving to a 1000 square metre location from our humble beginners of teaching one class per week in a Karate school 18 years ago. We now teach 28 classes per week to 600 students teaching MMA, BJJ and Muay Thai Kickboxing.

We have organised 4 monster seminars two striking and two BJJ. The two BJJ seminars are my BJJ coach Carlos Machado on Saturday and then World BJJ Champions Marcus “Buchecha” and Leandro Lo on Sunday. For striking we have Former World Kickboxing Champion and UFC coach Brad Riddell and my MMA coach and one of the best MMA coaches in the world Greg Jackson.

The opening ceremony will be on Sunday 18th November at 1pm.

These seminars are open to everyone from any academy and affiliation. A lot of tickets have sold already. Don’t miss out so book now.

Current UFC Light Heavyweight fighter Tyson Pedro came in to Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts this morning and did some BJJ drills and then sparred 5 minute rounds with Team Perosh fighters.

It’s always great having Tyson come and train with our team. He leaves next Tuesday for Thailand for his fight camp in preparation for UFC Adelaide on 1st December where he is facing Shogun Rua. We wish him all the best in his training camp and fight.
