Best academy at Grappling Industries Sydney twice in a row!

Team Perosh won Best Academy overall again and was part of best Team at Grappling Industries in Sydney on 21st July. It was the second Grappling Industries in Sydney in a row we won Best Academy and Best Team.

Our team of 18 students won 7 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze medals. Gold to Stef Boitano, Damian Iacono (Double), Axyl Howie (Double) and Kieran Chaplin (Double), Silver to John Kim, Tajana Wilkie, Aryan Singh, Dante Barbanera (Double), Isaac Herodotou (Double), Bronze to Chi Kit Cheung, Phil Ferraro, Nathan Maitre, John Kim, Katarina Roso, Tajana Wilkie, Aryan Singh and Natasha Iacono.

Well done to everyone who competed!

Muay Thai Kickboxing Development Day results

Team Perosh student Matthew Thompson lost his Muay Thai match at the Muaythai Australia NSW Development Day in Sydney on Saturday 21st July. It was his debut match and he has only been training for 1 year. Matthew did his best and that is all you can do! Thank you to Liam Bohan for coming out to support and help him warm up.

Nelson Mayan wins by decision to make it 4-0 in MMA!

Team Perosh student Nelson Mayan won his mma match by decision at Urban Fight Night – MMA promotion 16 in Sydney on 8th July.

Nelson now moves to 4 wins and 0 losses in his mma career.

Thank you to everyone from Team Perosh who came to support.

We finished the night with a great meal with good people to celebrate.

BJJ results Sydney, Central Coast, Brisbane

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts competed in 3 BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) competitions in Sydney, Central Coast and Brisbane the past 2 weekends.

Congrats to Team Perosh student Axyl Howie on winning double gold at the Grappling Industries competition in Brisbane on 8th July. He won two matches in gi and two matches in nogi. Well done Axyl!

Team Perosh had 3 students compete in the Australian Girls in Gi competition on Sunday 8th July in Sydney. Jayda La Fleur won double gold, Natasha Iacono won gold and silver and Katarina Roso won silver. Thank you to Fran Bavaro and Mike La Fleur for coaching. Well done girls!

Team Perosh had 1 adult and 4 kids compete at the Central Coast BJJ Championships on Sunday 15th July. They won 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal. James Zai, Axyl Howie, Jayda La Fleur and Daniel Qaqour won gold, Keegan La Fleur won silver and Axl Howie won bronze. Well done everyone!

NSW BJJ State Championships Sydney June 2018

Team Perosh had a team of 28 students win 9 gold (and new State Champions), 10 silver and 3 bronze medals at the NSW BJJ State Championships in Sydney on 30th June-1st July.

New State champions and gold medals went to Michael De Marco, Frances Bavaro, Rebecca Beuk, Nathan Maitre, Julian Tsitsos, Damian Iacono, Axyl Howie, Alexei Fotheringham and Lewis Massih.

Silver medals were won by Angus Blackwell, Jeremiah Diestro, Isaac Soldatos, Derek Nguyen, Natasha Iacono, Isaac Herodotou, Kobe Harb, Kale Lapi, Anthony Roufas and Daniel Ququor.

Bronze medals were won by Hayden McKay, Wayne Fotheringham and Derek Nguyen.
