Head Coach Anthony Perosh attended 5 BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) and Muay Thai Kickboxing gradings at affiliate academies in Kemps Creek, Minchinbury, Macquarie Park, Hoxton Park and Griffith.
Team Perosh affiliate school IMC had their BJJ grading last Friday 7th December. Big congrats to everyone who graded. Extra special congrats to new BJJ Blue Belts Rys and James. Well done to the coaches at all 4 academies for getting everyone ready.

Team Perosh affiliate academy Elite Martial arts Australia had their BJJ grading last Thursday 13th December. Big congrats to everyone who graded. Well done to Head Coaches Dan Stoll and Ethan Zahra for getting everyone ready.
Team Perosh affiliate school Martial Arts Spirit HQ had their Muay Thai Kickboxing grading last week on 12th December. Big congrats to everyone who graded. It was MAS’ very first affiliate grading!
Team Perosh affiliate school RMA & Total Fitness had their BJJ grading last Wednesday on 19th December. No less than 8 students received their Purple Belt. These 8 students have been together since the start 6 years ago! Purple Belts were awarded to Frank, Peter, Elizabeth, Steve, Mitch, Bo, Francie and James. New Blue Belt was awarded to Mark and several students graded for their stripes on their white and blue belts. Big congrats to everyone who graded. I am very proud of everyone.

The Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts end of year BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) and Muay Thai Kickboxing gradings for adults and kids was a big hit! About 275 students participated in the gradings with most of them grading to the next level.
In adults BJJ there were 4 new Black Belts, 1 Brown Belt, 1 Purple Belt and 8 Blue Belts awarded. Extra special congratulations to new BJJ black belts Ers Kumsuz, Dany Raad, Matthew Hunt and Phillip Ferraro. The students who did not receive a new belt all graded for their next stripe.
In adults Muay Thai Kickboxing 2 new Black T-shirts, 1 Purple T-Shirt and 1 Blue T-Shirt awarded. Extra Special Congratulations to new Muay Thai Kickboxing Black T-Shirts Philip Kim and Nobby Kuandyk. Plus a lot of yellow, orange and red t-shirts were awarded.
We had 4 classes of about 25 kids grade in BJJ and Muay Thai Kickboxing ranging in ages from 5 to 15. We had kids grading from Grey-White Belt to Orange Belt in BJJ and from Yellow to Red T-Shirt in Thai Kickboxing.

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts had 23 students win 11 gold, 11 silver and 1 bronze medals at the NSW BJJ Federation Summer Cup in Sydney on 25th November!
Gold medals were won by to Michael De Marco, James Zai, Julian Tsitsos (Double), Kosta Panayi, Jake Herrera, Damian Iacono, Kobe Harb, Aryan Singh, Natasha Iacono and Axyl Howie. Silver medals were won by Michael De Marco, Guy Vaccaro, James Zai, Julian Tsitsos (Double), Darren Chism, Campbell Lahoud, Dante Barbanera, Brigitte Massih, Lewis Massih and Angelina Pan. Bronze medals were won by Olivia Hu.
Team Perosh is part of Team Will-Machado and Will-Machado won the 2nd place trophy in the Kids Team Category and 3rd in the Adults and Masters Nogi category.

I taught a BJJ seminar and attended a BJJ grading at Team Perosh BJJ Affiliate academies Mackay MMA and Advance Martial Arts in Mackay and Brisbane last week.
At Mackay MMA extra special congrats to new BJJ Blue Belt Nadia, new BJJ Purpe Belt Toni and to Head Coach David Garnham for grading to Brown Belt 4th Stripe. A great couple of days!
At Advance Martial Arts extra special congrats to new BJJ Black Belt John and to new first degree BJJ Black Belt Lenny. At the end I presented Head Coach Matt Cooper with his 3rd Degree BJJ Black Belt.

I taught a BJJ seminar at Team Perosh Affiliate BJJ academy Kemp’s Thai Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts last Friday night. I taught my favourite sub the Kimura and lots of set ups, finishes and trouble shooting. Thank you to Coach Richard Kemp and his academy for inviting me and for your usual great hospitality!
Team Perosh’s 14 students won 6 gold, 5 silver and 6 Bronze medals at the IBJJF Pan Pacific BJJ Championships in Melbourne last weekend. The Pan Pacs was a 3 day event and is the most prestigious BJJ competition in Australia for the year.
Gold medals were won by Tony Pycroft, Michael De Marco, Julian Tsitsos, Axyl Howie, Aryan Singh and Sam Cassaniti. Silver medals were won by Michael De Marco, Rebecca Beuk, Michael Ali, Natasha Iacono and Kobe Harb. Bronze medals were won by Tony Pycroft, Frances Bavaro (Triple), Damian Iacono and Jayda La Fleur.
Well done to everyone that competed. It was a great weekend!
