I taught a BJJ seminar at Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts affiliate BJJ academy Kemp’s MMA in Nowra on Friday 1st April. It is run by my BJJ Black Belt and good friend Richard Kemp. I taught a lot of my favourite techniques including pressure takedowns, pressure sweeps, pressure passing and pressure subs! I had a lot of fun with Richard and his great students. Team Perosh March Gradings

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts had our gradings 30 & 31 March and make up grading on 8 April in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing for both adults and kids. It was a great 3 days. Well done to everyone that graded!

Extra special congrats to new BJJ Purple Belts Stef, Phil & Daniel, new BJJ Blue Belts Emil, Peter, Sam & Ray, new Thai kickboxing Blue T-Shirts Anthony & John Paul and new Kids BJJ Orange-White Belts Kobe & Aryan.

Special thank you to all the coaches who helped out and to my admin staff for preparing the grading.

Subversion BJJ Revolution results

Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts student Michael De Marco lost by close decision in the final of Subversion BJJ Revolution last Saturday night in Sydney. Michael won his 2 qualifying BJJ matches the weekend before to qualify for the final. Well done Michael!

Team Perosh Five Dock BJJ team had 3 students (all kids) win 3 gold at the ACT BJJ Open last weekend. Gold medals were won by Kobe, Aryan and Dante.

Team Perosh won the team trophy in all 3 divisions! – Overall, Adults & Jumiors. Team Perosh was represented by 6 academies – Team Perosh Five Dock, Kemps MMA, Pure Jiu-Jitsu, Elite Martial Arts, Riverina Martial Arts and Movement Martial Arts. The team trophies went to the 3 Team Perosh academies who put in the biggest teams and scored the most points for us.

An amazing achievement! Well done to everyone that competed at the ACT BJJ Open! Thank you to everyone who came to support.

Last week Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts had 2 guest BJJ coaches take the Monday and Wednesday Intermediate/Advanced BJJ class.

BJJ Black Belt Steve Rudic took class on Monday night. Steve was (and is) my Boxing coach and was my main coach and cornerman for all 9 of my UFC Light Heavyweight bouts. He started BJJ when he met me and only recently received his BJJ Black Belt.

BJJ Brown Belt Simon Carson took class on Wednesday night. Simon is based in Melbourne and is the co-owner of Absolute MMA and MA1. Simon and MA1 fitted out the second room at Team Perosh with cage, mats, heavy bags and all the gym equipment.

Thank you to both our guest BJJ coaches  Steve and Simon. They were both very generous by teaching a class for us and were happy to help everyone with their technique.
