Team Perosh BJJ team won 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal at the 2025 BJJ Summer Cup. Gold to Filippo and Dante (Double gold), Silver to Giorgio and Kleo and Bronze to Jackson. Well done everyone!

BJJ Brown & Black Belt class

Team Perosh BJJ team had a BJJ Brown & Black Belt class. There was 24 of us on the day. We did some technique and lots of rolling. It was a great day! Thank you to everyone who attended. We will be having regular days like this in the future.

Affiliate BJJ Grading in Nowra

I was invited to attend an affiliate BJJ grading at Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts affiliate BJJ academy Kemp’s MMA in Nowra last weekend. It is run by my good friend and BJJ Black Belt Richard Kemp. In January next year Kemps MMA will have it’s 10^th Birthday. A massive achievement.

It was a huge grading with students grading from White Belt 1^st Stripe all the way to Black Belt 2^nd Degree. I had the honour of presenting Richard with his BJJ 2^nd Degree Black Belt on the day. Congratulations Coach Richard and to all the students who graded.

Nogi BJJ seminar by Robert Drysdale

I attended a nogi BJJ seminar by Robert Drysdale last week during his Australian visit. I have known Robert for 20 years now. Robert is a gi (IBJJF) and nogi BJJ (ADCC) World Champion and MMA veteran. He lives in Las Vegas where he teaches at his BJJ academy.

He didn’t hold back and taught a lot of his favourite high percentage techniques the top grapplers are using in the World today. It was great to catch up with you again. Safe travels home.

Double World BJJ Champion

Double World BJJ Champion Kobe Harb! Team Perosh BJJ student Kobe Harb competed at the 2025 SJJIF World BJJ Championship in Japan and won 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.

He won the big one the Gi Absolute division. There were 26 competitors and he had 5 wins all by submission to become World BJJ Champion. He also won his Nogi weight division, silver in Nogi absolute and bronze in Gi weight.

What an amazing performance.

Big congratulations to my coach and friend Carlos Machado on being inducted into the Jiu-Jitsu Hall of fame! He was inducted alongside UFC OG Royce Gracie. They were the first 2 to be inducted into the Jiu-Jitsu Hall of fame.

Carlos is an 8^th Degree BJJ Coral Belt. He has been my coach since December 1997. I am proud to have him as my coach.
