Team Perosh had 6 kids and 1 adult compete at the Central Coast BJJ Open on 15th October. They won 2 gold and 5 silver medals! Axyl Howie and Amelia Roufas won gold, Wayne Fotheringham, Alexei Fotheringham, Anthony Roufas, Jake Lapi and Emma Hunt won silver. Team Perosh is part of the Will-Machado team and the Will-Machado team won the Kids team trophy. Well done to everyone who competed!
We had a great first week of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Thai Kickboxing classes at our new Five Dock Academy for adults and children. Check out some photos. Everyone is welcome to train at Team Perosh. Come and visit and join us!
Team Perosh won 17 gold in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Oceanic Titles in Sydney on 1st October. The adults won 15 and the kids 2 gold medals.
Gold medals went to Michael De Marco, Frances Bavaro (2), Shane Chen, Andrew Huynh, Guy Vaccaro (2), Rebecca Beuk (2), Mike La Fleur, Grant Barlow (4), Steve Rudic (2), Axyl Howie and Harry Herrera. Silver medals went to Andrew Khare (2), Damian Iacono, Aryan Singh, Emma Hunt and Dante Barbanera. Bronze medals went to Jake Herrera, Natasha Iacono, Keegan La Fleur, Jayda La Fleur.
Team Perosh is part of team Will-Machado. Will-Machado won the team’s trophy for adult males and kids and came second in the female teams!
We have moved our MMA. BJJ and Muay Thai Kickboxing academy from Concord to Five Dock. Classes at the new location at Ground Floor, 97 Queens Road started Monday 25th September! Check out the timetable and photos of the new and the new academy.

Team Perosh competed in the AUS SUB ONLY competition (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) in Sydney on 16th September.
The 5 kids who competed won 5 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals in gi and no gi divisions. Sam Cassaniti and Damian Iacono both won double gold, Anthony Roufas won gold and silver, Amelia Roufas won Silver and bronze and Natasha Iacono won double bronze.
Grading week is finished. I love grading week. You see results in terms of perfect technique from students which only comes from of a lot of hours and drilling on the mat. Big congrats to everyone who graded this week.

Team Perosh had 3 students compete at the Australian BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) Championships in Melbourne this weekend. Rebecca Beuk won gold in her weight and bronze in the open division. She is a new Australian BJJ Champion! Michael De Marco and Dominic Lees both lost their first matches. They both lost to the eventual gold medalist and new Australian champions. Big congrats to new Australian BJJ Champion Rebecca Beuk and all of the competitors!
Team Perosh won 8 gold, 9 silver and 2 bronze medals at the Grappling Industries BJJ competition in Sydney on Sunday 6th August.
In adults divisions Philip Ferraro won gold in gi and James Zai won gold in no gi. Well done to Akshay Thakare and Aston Chee for posting wins on the day.
In kids divisions Axyl Howie (Double), Damian Iacono, Amelia Roufas, Sam Cassaniti, Alexei Fotheringham won gold, Damian Iacono, Amelia Roufas, Jayda La Fleur (Double), Sam Cassaniti, Keegan La Fleur, Natasha Iacono, Anthony Roufas, Kobe Harb won silver and Campbell Lahoud and Keegan La Fleur won bronze.
