Current UFC Light Heavyweight fighter Tyson Pedro came in to Team Perosh Mixed Martial Arts this morning and did some BJJ drills and then sparred 5 minute rounds with Team Perosh fighters.
It’s always great having Tyson come and train with our team. He leaves next Tuesday for Thailand for his fight camp in preparation for UFC Adelaide on 1st December where he is facing Shogun Rua. We wish him all the best in his training camp and fight.

Coach Anthony Perosh
Team Perosh BJJ student Amelia Roufas has been nominated as one of three finalists in the 2018 Local Sports Stars for ‘Young Sporting Spirit’. Amelia has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for 3.5 years at Team Perosh. The winners will be announced on the 30th October. Good luck Amelia!

It’s been 9 years since I have been to Dallas. I trained at my BJJ coach Carlos Machado‘s academy at RCJ Machado Jiu-Jitsu – Farmers Branch. It was great to be back!
After I won the World BJJ Masters in Las Vegas I had a great week of training @jacksonwink_mma. It was great seeing and training with all the fighters again and of course getting coached by the best in the business @mmacoachwink @gregjacksonmma @chadinspiremma and @sixgungibson.
I visited the UFC Performance Institute on my recent visit to Las Vegas which is a training facility made for the MMA fighters in the UFC. A Big thank you to Dr. Duncan French for showing me around the state of the art facility. What a great place! Today’s UFC fighters are very fortunate to have this for them.
Team Perosh had a great day performing a BJJ demo on stage and had a stall at the City of Canada Bay Ferragosto festival in Five Dock on Sunday 19th August. We met lots of people including NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and NSW Member for Drummoyne John Sidoti. Thank you to everyone that helped out.

Two long time Team Perosh BJJ students are moving. Logan Muir is moving to New Zealand and Anthony Banicevic is moving to Canberra. Head Coach Anthony Perosh from Team Perosh Martial Arts did some cross training with the Under 16 Girls UTS Balmain Water Polo Club last weekend.
Waterpolo techniques under water involve a lot of grappling! The training session included BJJ and Wrestling techniques that they can apply in their game.
The team are favourites heading in to the National Club Championships to be held in October. Good luck!
